MP backs The Game Fair

Cotswold MP Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown is the latest in a long line of well-known faces who can’t wait for The Game Fair 2021, having been saddened to miss the 2020 postponed event.

In an interview with Gun Trade News editor Steve Faragher, the Conservative MP, who is also chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Shooting and Conservation and treasurer of the influential 1922 Committee, admitted he loves the event for many reasons.

He revealed: “I was due to go this year (2020). I love The Game Fair. I think it’s a fantastic opportunity to a) catch up with a lot of old friends and contacts and b) to be able to go round all the gun stands and the dog stands and have a little bit of a go at the clays.

“I just find it a wonderful day out and I hope we’re going to be able to get back to normal and operate it in a normal way, which we couldn’t this year.

“I think it’s really great – you meet so many friends and I think, particularly after Covid this year, it’s going to be a great social event. My other half always enjoys it – she spends far too much of my money!”
