We’re “Good To Go” for next month, are you?

With everything opening up on July 19th, the team at The Game Fair can’t wait to welcome you to Ragley Hall the following week for the best-ever celebration of the great British countryside.

Our plans remain unaffected by this week’s Government announcement of a four-week delay to the lifting of all lockdown restrictions and we have been buoyed by the promise that July 19th really will be Freedom Day.

But, in truth, the organisers have been ready to host this event at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, for months and back in April the event was given “Good To Go” status by official tourism body Visit England.

Announcing the changes, brought about by higher cases due to the Delta variant of Covi-19, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “As things stand – and on the basis of the evidence I can see right now – I am confident we will not need any more than four weeks and we won’t need to go beyond July 19th.

“It is unmistakably clear the vaccines are working and the sheer scale of the vaccine roll-out has made our position incomparably better than in previous waves.”

Among the attractions to help everyone celebrate freedom once more, the event will include an outdoor cinema showing the film John Macnab, new restaurants and more than 250 new exhibitors.

It is estimated that between £60 million and £80 million is expected to be spent at the fair and a similar amount spent in the local economy, giving the region a much need boost.

The Game Fair’s managing director, James Gower, revealed: “We have been overwhelmed with positive support and reaction. The team has already planned and implemented additional measures to safeguard and reassure our visitors and exhibitors. These include providing additional toilets and showers with increased cleaning protocols.

“‘Freedom Day’ on July 19th will be an added bonus and The Game Fair will be there to help people celebrate.”
Head of marketing Gemma Payne added:  “With foreign holidays in doubt the team have seen unprecedented demand for hospitality, camping and glamping, with ticket sales soaring, demand has never been greater. We can’t wait to welcome you back to The Game Fair.”
