Dick and Angel joined us this morning for a chat with Angel experiencing her first time ever at The Game Fair we asked what her first impressions were.

“I’m a city girl, when I first came in, I was so overwhelmed by the style of everyone – I felt like I wanted to be them when I grew up!”

The family spent the day yesterday looking around and seem to have taken in a wide range of experiences. Angel commented, “I initially felt a bit out of my comfort zone, the incredible variety of it all – but now I feel right at home.  I wanted the children to experience and really feel the event, they have loved it.”

Dick added, “I’m a country boy and The Game Fair brings such a diverse array of people together.  We have seen everything from traditional crafts and skills through to new ideas plus the dogs, the fishing, the shooting – it encompasses everything including taxidermy – just fascinating!

Angel added, “In today’s world where everything is so fast it’s comforting to feel the traditions are still here. Country people have an inclusive mindset and they care about the country. We can feel the passion from everyone, the little businesses to the big organisations.”

Dick who will be at The Carter Jonas Theatre at 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon, we loved his final comment of our interview. “We are so proud to be here and proud to have the family cooking together this afternoon.” Dick might think he’s in charge but apparently Arthur is a very accomplished cook so the family is really cooking up a storm.
