Actor, presenter and former professional footballer, Vinnie Jones took to the Carter Jonas Game Fair Theatre stage to host the auction of a beautifully carved stick by famed stick maker Simon Heath, in aid of Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust. Vinnie told the packed theatre that mental health and the countryside was extremely important to him and especially young men and women who can be isolated and really need support.  “Country people look after country people; we can all have difficult times and this charity has saved lives” he explained.

The stick which depicts a hedgehog as its handle was auctioned by Andrew Fallows of Carter Jonas. The auction raised £1000 after a closely fought bidding battle and Vinnie was ‘over the moon’ with the result.
