Few sights and sounds are as evocative of the British countryside as a pack of hounds. For centuries, they have been at the heart of rural life, representing generations of careful breeding, dedicated kennels and a rich countryside heritage. Today, they continue to play an important role in preserving traditional skills and showcasing the exceptional standards of care, training and husbandry that define working dogs.
At The Game Fair, you’ll have the chance to get up close with some of the country’s finest hound packs. Watch them in the Main Arena and The General Tire Horses & Hounds Arena, where you can meet the hounds, chat to the huntsmen, and learn more about these remarkable dogs.
Be warned, though – if you step into the arenas, there’s every chance you’ll be greeted by a sea of wagging tails, wet noses and more enthusiastic hounds than you can stroke at once. It’s one of the friendliest (and furriest) experiences at the show, and a favourite with visitors of all ages.
