A celebration of women in the countryside
The Country Girls UK brings together women from around the country with interests in shooting and country pursuits.
Established in 2018, the group was started by Tania Coxon, a full-time arable farmer who started to share her farming and shooting journey through her Instagram page – @countrygirl_andlabradors – where she began to receive daily messages from women wanting to know more and wanting to get involved in the sports.
With a passion for spreading awareness and educating others on why she does what she does, she started The Country Girls UK WhatsApp group, which rapidly grew to the 400-strong member events company it is today. The team itself has grown from Tania working alone to a 15 strong team of ambassadors and senior management positions.
Its events include tuition, simulated and game days during the season and, with new events added in 2022 such as polo, fishing and falconry, the organisation has created an inviting community of like-minded women who want to get involved in fieldsports whilst learning new skills through its educational content and making friends at the same time.
For the first time, there will be a Christmas Ball on the events calendar this year, which is going to be a mind-blowing event for its members.
Held at Rushton Hall in Northamptonshire, the location is reserved solely for Country Girl members, giving an exclusive and special evening including a three-course meal cooked by award-winning chefs.
Marketing manager Kelly Usher-Tyers said: “The Country Girls UK attended The Game Fair for the first time in 2021 and we had a phenomenal weekend.
“Our stand was always full with current members coming to say hi, to ladies who had been following us on our social channels and wanted to meet face to face before joining up as members.
“With the success of the 2021 fair it was without a doubt we would be returning in 2022. This year we are excited to bring an even bigger range of events, brand new clothing and accessory lines and even more ambassadors along to answer any questions.”
