Another step closer to Normality

The Government has signalled the next step in its roadmap out of lockdown, with further restrictions being eased from Monday and more venues opening up for us to enjoy.

It’s one step closer to the return of normality as we head towards a fantastic summer, culminating in The Game Fair’s celebration of the great British countryside.

The event, which has already been given “Good To Go” industry standard backing from VisitBritain to reassure visitors this July, ticks all the boxes for a safe and fun gathering for all countryside lovers.

Announcing the “considerable step on the road back to normality,” this week, Prime Minister Boris Johnson also told Monday’s news conference to remember: “Outdoors is always safer than indoors.”

With the latest data showing Coronavirus deaths and hospitalisations had dropped to their lowest level since last July, the UK’s four chief medical officers confirming the covid alert level had been lowered from four to three.

The Prime Minister added: “We’re taking a step toward that moment when we learn to live responsibly with Covid, when we cease eventually to rely on detailed government edicts and make our own decisions based on the best scientific advice about how best to protect our families and those around us.”

It means that the country is now on course for the final stage on June 21st, which would see all legal limits on social contact lifted, including the removal of the ‘one metre distancing’ rule.

The Game Fair managing director, James Gower, said: “This is yet more great news for the public and for our economy. We were always confident that the event would go ahead as planned and this decision – which moves us further along the path to normality – is music to the ears of our hugely supportive exhibitors, our fantastic visitors who are flooding our ticket hotline and the hardworking team determined to put on the best and most welcome Game Fair yet.”
