British Game Assurance at The Game Fair
BGA are going to be at The Game Fair 2022 at Ragley Hall this Friday 29th – Sunday 31st July. Please come and say hello – we will be ready and waiting to see you at stand H057.
There will be a wealth of BGA activity and opportunities on offer…
Firstly, don’t miss Dylan and Louisa’s gun salute in the main arena, which sets off The Game Fair with a bang.
We are then welcoming our Advisory Committee to our stand from 9.30-11.00am on Friday morning and we invite you to come and meet them in person. Our Advisory Committee is drawn from across the shooting organisations and community, all united by a passion for securing the future of shooting. This is an opportunity to share your thoughts and experiences with the people who are shaping shoot assurance.
Leon and Louisa are leading a cooking demonstration from 1.40pm (Friday 29th) – something you definitely don’t want to miss. They will be sharing expert knowledge on how best to utilise game meat, recipe suggestions, and explaining just what it means and how important it is for game meat to be BGA assured.
Following the cooking demonstration, BGA are hosting afternoon tea with the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust (GWT) from 3-5pm (Friday 29th). Close to BGA’s heart, the GWT exists to support gamekeepers, stalkers, ghillies, and their dependents past and present by providing financial grants and encouragement in times of hardship, ill health, and retirement. Come and join and talk to the GWT team over a cup of tea.
There will be plenty happening on the BGA stand throughout the weekend. Eat Wild will be selling BGA Assured game and have recently launched a fantastic range of BBQ spices too, so come and see what’s on offer and learn more about how to eat wild.
Better game handling is a vital part of the BGA mission, and shoots often ask us about chillers. That’s why we are delighted that the Cold Store Group will be supporting us at our stand too. Find out more about their products by coming to take a look at the brilliant chillers we will be using throughout the weekend.
We know that opening a shoot up to auditors is a new challenge in our sector, and poses many questions. Our Auditors and Technical Team will be supporting our stand throughout the event and will be on hand to talk about the practicalities of becoming assured. AIC’s David Moss will also join us all day on Friday to talk about the new Feed Advisor game feed training module, which aims to provide the education to underpin sustainable game feeding.
We look forward to seeing and meeting many of you there and hearing your thoughts about game meat and the future of shoot assurance.
Best wishes,
The BGA Team
