We’re delighted to have made a date with Merlin the barman at The Game Fair who will be shaking up cocktails in the VIP Enclosure sponsored by Investec Wealth & Investment (UK) on Friday and Saturday. Merlin will be showcasing his two cocktails created exclusively for the event, a Rose Garden Spritz and Devil-May-Care.
He says: “The Game Fair at Blenheim Palace is always so enjoyable with such a lot to see and do. I’m excited to be serving two of my favourite drinks, a floral gin highball and a non-alcoholic vibrant highball, to our guests over the weekend. I’m certain you’ll enjoy them, so please join me there and raise a glass!” adds Merlin.
Here are Merlin’s recipes.
Rose Garden Spritz
A simple and effective highball, perfect for summer entertaining.
- 40ml Chase Grapefruit & Pomelo Gin
- 20ml Cointreau
- Juice of half a lime
- Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade
- Grapefruit twist
Shake all except the Rose Lemonade and strain into an ice filled highball, top with Rose Lemonade
and a large grapefruit zest twist.
Devil-May-Care
Indulge without consequence with this rich and spicy non-alcoholic highball.
- 25ml SENTIA Red
- 25ml LYRES Amaretti
- 5-6 fresh raspberries
- Juice of half a lime
- Ginger Beer
- Raspberries and orange zest to garnish
Shake all except the ginger beer and strain into an ice filled highball, top with Ginger Beer. Garnish
with 3 raspberries on a cocktail stick and a large orange zest twist.
