We teamed up with Go Fishing Worldwide to offer one lucky fishing enthusiast the opportunity to win an unforgettable salmon fishing trip to Norway worth nearly £4,000!
Our winner Nicola Davey will enjoy a week-long Go Fishing Worldwide trip to the Verdal River in Norway, from the 24th August until the 31st August 2025. Staying in a single room at Tingvoll Lodge, hosted by Dave Grove & John Olav Oldren, the full board experience with guided salmon fishing will be one to remember!
About the Verdal River:
The Verdal, alongside its tributaries the Inna and the Helga, runs through a valley in the Trondelag region of Norway. Forward thinking management by the leaseholders and local angling association has been vital in maintaining stocks of salmon and sea trout over the last decade. The river has about 30 kilometers of good salmon fishing. Like most rivers in the Central Norway region, the Verdal is known for big salmon, with fish in the 12 – 16 kilo (25 – 35lb) range caught each season. The lodge has fishing on 16 private double bank pools on the river.
About Tingvoll Lodge:
The 7-night stay includes a single room at Tingvoll Lodge, a wonderfully refurbished barn with a classic warm Scandinavian style on a full board basis with superb food served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with beer and wine included. The winner enjoys six glorious days guided salmon fishing which includes a fishing licence and rod disinfection plus return transfers from Trondheim to Tingvoll Lodge. Suitable tackle will also be provided if necessary.
