Have your say on rural crime

With rural crime always a key issue within the countryside community, the Countryside Alliance is once again encouraging those who live and work in these areas to take part in its annual Rural Crime Survey.
The results of the 2021 survey, which built on previous years, illustrated that nine in 10 people in rural areas had not seen a police office in the previous week while seven in 10 reported an increase in crime over the last 12 months.
A CA spokesman said: “It is clear from last year’s results that there is a lot to do in tackling rural crime, working with communities to ensure the impact of it is lessened, and the crime problems rural communities face.
“However tenacious our campaigning is in Westminster, Holyrood or the Senedd, your help and your voice goes a long way in underpinning our arguments.
“As a voice for rural Britain, we must continue to put pressure on the Government, Police and Crime Commissioners, and police forces on their approach to tackling rural crime and the causes of rural crime. Your participation in our annual Rural Crime Survey 2022 will help us direct our campaigns and ensure we make your voice heard in the corridors of power.”
This survey should only take 10 minutes, and your responses are anonymous. It will close on Sunday, December 11th.
