The Game Fair forge new partnership with ‘LAPADA’ The UK’s largest association of professional art and antique dealers.

The much-loved celebration of the great British Countryside returns in 2021 taking place in the familiar surroundings of Ragley Hall from 23-25 July. In the spirit of progression and innovation The Game Fair are delighted to announce our new partnership with ‘LAPADA’ the UK’s largest association of professional art and antique dealers.

The LAPADA Pavilion will showcase an exquisite range of works across an array of disciplines; from fine art, furniture and contemporary works of art to decorative arts, jewellery and antiquities. Complimenting the fabulous art exhibitors already scheduled to attend.

From its inception in the early 1970’s LAPADA’s membership has grown significantly, now boasting approximately 500 professional art and antique dealers in the UK. As LAPADA members, each one adheres to the Association’s strict Code of Practice and every item is vetted by a specialist committee. This ensures the authenticity and quality of each and every item and allows consumers to buy with confidence, with items ranging in price from £500 to £500,000.

For over ten years LAPADA has hosted their annual Art & Antiques Fair in Berkeley Square. The fair has grown year on year and is now firmly positioned as the preeminent exhibition of its kind, annually attracting over 20,000 international visitors. One of only two events to be presented in Berkeley Square each year and a stalwart of the London social calendar, LAPADA presents works that appeal to both amateur enthusiasts and distinguished collectors, with tastes that range from modern to traditional.

In 2019 The Game Fair and LAPADA jointly hosted an exclusive event with antique gun expert Gavin Gardiner talking on ‘Vintage Firearms: Collecting and the Law.’ Guests were treated to an evening of champagne and canapés amidst exquisite art, and a private tour led by Gardiner exploring the spectacular sporting art on display.

The Game Fair Managing Director James Gower commented “We are delighted to bring that same magic and prestige to the Game Fair 2021 with the launch of the LAPADA Pavilion.” He went on to explain that “this partnership presents a wonderful opportunity for The Game Fair’s visitors to view an array of sporting art and sculpture. LAPDA has an international reputation amongst purveyors of fine art in the same way that The Game Fair is the pinnacle event for lovers of the countryside. As always The Game Fair continues to innovate offering both exhibitor and consumer new and exciting opportunities.”

Freya Simms, Chief Executive Officer at LAPADA said, “We are delighted to partner with The Game Fair whose own notable history perfectly complements LAPADAs. Both share a breadth of specialisms, a wealth of heritage brands at the core of their offering. Throughout the LAPADA association’s 45 years of trading the qualities that have made it grow and endure are: expertise, quality, craftsmanship, provenance, attention to detail and excellent client service helping people to buy art and antiques with confidence which mirrors The Game Fair in many ways.”
