Win an exclusive £12,000 partridge shooting day
If you fancy a day’s partridge shooting for nine guns at Caerhays Castle in Cornwall worth over £12,000, then you are in luck!
The Countryside Alliance’s draw offers an exceptional prize, with the day hosted in person by the owners, Charles and Lizzie Williams, who have extremely generously donated this 250-bird partridge day.
Caerhays seldom advertises or uses agents to fill its shoot days, as those not filled by year-on-year repeat bookings are rapidly filled through word of mouth so this is an amazing opportunity, with the day scheduled to take place in September or October 2022, by mutual agreement.
All the proceeds from the sale of tickets will go towards the work of the Countryside Alliance’s Campaign for Shooting.
Caerhays Castle is home to one of the top shoots in the West Country. The 4,500 acre estate is centred in two deep valleys that run down to the sea on the south Cornish coast between Mevagissey and St Mawes, and the scenery, topography and location are unique.
The estate has 40 separate drives of differing size, scale and duration over some 350 acres of woodland and cover crops. Four drives take place in and around the Castle’s woodland gardens which are renowned for their internationally important collection of magnolias, rhododendrons and Camellia x williamsii, with other drives overlooking the sea.
Lunch and tea on shoot days are held in the Castle’s Georgian Hall, and luxurious accommodation in eight en-suite double bedrooms is available by sperate arrangement at The Vean, a beautifully restored Georgian country house nestled in the wooded Porthluney valley with views over the Castle’s Gardens.
To help safeguard the sport you love and be in with a chance of winning this magnificent prize, buy your tickets today. The draw closes on Wednesday, December 8th, with the winning ticket drawn on Monday, December 13th. Each ticket costs £75.
