London gunmaker John Rigby & Co has appointed two new gunmakers to its in-house team in response to a sustained increase in orders.  Metalwork specialist Bertrand Batoux, from the Champagne-Ardenne region of France previously worked for Belgian gunmaker Paul Plesters.  Meanwhile, Loick Desmanet has joined after working as a trainee at Belgian gunmaker Armurerie Delattre. Thousands facing food poverty are set to benefit from a new partnership between The Game Fair and The Country Food Trust. In response to the Covid-19 outbreak, a short-term fundraising initiative called Game Aid has been launched to deliver free game meat based meal bags to frontline NHS workers in the country’s hour of need. The British Game Alliance (BGA), Samworth Brothers, Wild and Game and bi-monthly publication Fieldsports Journal have joined forces to create the campaign, so the countryside community have an opportunity to do their bit. This brand new competition is open to all gundog clubs across the country. Dogs do not need to be Kennel Club registered and will be judged by a Gamekeeper alongside a panel judge.
