Hen Harriers adorn conservation stamp for 2021

A painting of a pair of hen harriers flying over open moorland has been revealed as the artwork on this year’s Wildlife Habitat Trust (WHT) conservation stamp. Painted by leading wildlife artist Simon Turvey, the male and female hen harriers were painted at the Swinton Estate in North Yorkshire. This year’s unveiling also comes with the announcement that all the money raised from the sale of the stamps will go directly towards supporting hen harrier conservation. BASC – New course for Novice Shooters

As part of an ever-growing number of educational and practical courses, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) has launched the Game Shooter Certificate 1 (GSC1). Intended for the novice Gun, the BASC course provides an insight into and a wider understanding of game shooting. The day and a half-long course will give participants the knowledge to improve success and ability in the field.
