A painting of a pair of hen harriers flying over open moorland has been revealed as the artwork on this year’s Wildlife Habitat Trust (WHT) conservation stamp. Painted by leading wildlife artist Simon Turvey, the male and female hen harriers were painted at the Swinton Estate in North Yorkshire. As part of an ever-growing number of educational and practical courses, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) has launched the Game Shooter Certificate 1 (GSC1). Intended for the novice Gun, the BASC course provides an insight into and a wider understanding of game shooting. The day and a half-long course will give participants the knowledge to improve success and ability in the field.
